NEW VAUDE VILLE SHOW.
Vaudeville at its best will be presented by the Tivoli Theatre Circuit of Australia at the Opera House, Palmerston North, for two nights only on Thursday and Friday, May 2 and 3, when a company of international artists, headed by Will Mahoney, wall provide an entertainment of appeal to all tastes. Wnl Mahoney, who has been here before, possesses all the qualifications for amusing and interesting modern audiences. The supporting artists include every novelty turn that goes to make up a high-class variety programme. Evic llayes, who has great personal charm as well as a good voice, lias the latest song successes. Johnny Hyman, direct from New York seasons, will give something entirely now in his offering of “Topical Titbits.” The Four Florays are an outstanding troupe of acrobats with novel methods of presentation. Tho Melodians are true to their mime in their artistic musical act, introducing a wide range of instruments: mystery is expressed by the Lampinis, who huve attained worldwide fame with their escapologist feats; eccentric comedy dancing is the asset of Los and Mavis Ritchie, while big John Bobbie is a clever comedian. Bon Gcraghty is an entertaining singer at tho piano, and is * also accompanist to Evie llayes; Margaret Kelly is a brilliant young soprano who adds feminine interest to the programme, and, in addition, there is Cusko’s Animal Circus, which never fails lo he a sensational draw. The bal let is composed of Australian girls who will bo seen in Spectacular scenes and on gambles. The box plans will open at Col* linson and Cunninghainc’s on Monday, April 29.
