HOSPITAL EXPENDITURE.
] NCIIEASE FORESEEN. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 22. The possibility of military necessity involving increased capital expenditure on’ihe i>art of hospital boards was mentioned by the chairman (Mr Allan J. Moody) at a. meeting of the Auckland " Hospital Board. He indicated that the question had already received consideration by the authorities. “Any outlay on hospital building for military purposes should not be thrown on hospital boards, but it should he a matter for the Government.” MiMoody said. “It should be' met from war expenses instead of coining from the pockets 6f the ratepayers and possibly tho Social Security Fund.” Dir Moody thought that if the hoard adopted a firm attitude the Government would in the end give support to the policy advocated.
