OROUA DOWNS INSTITUTE.

At the monthly meeting of the Orotm Downs Institute a lengthy discussion on the forming a “working” to do Red Cross work within flic institute was held. It was decided to accept a “miscellaneous box” from Massey College, the first paper being on roller handages, which should prove interesting to all. A pot of any jelly will also be the subject for a competition. The winners of the last competitions were: Balaclava, Aliss Alma Christensen 1, Airs J. Conian 2, Mrs Holgorsen 3; vegetables, Airs S. Stranhra 1, Airs Scott 2, Airs Martin 3. Aliss Mavis Francis gave a very interesting lecture on music, which was very much appreciated.
