The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Lid., Palmerston North, report receiving the usual yardings of pigs and poultry at tlieir weekly sale held on Thursday, and to a large attendance of buyers a total clearance was made in all lines. Vegetables were in very heavy supply, prices remaining firm on last week’s rates. Poultry —Best W.L-. hens. 6s to 7s per pair; heavy black hens, 7s to 9s per pair; lighter lien's, 4s to 5s Btl per pair; heavy, cockerels, 8s to 9° per pair; medium, 6s to 7s per pair; pullets, forward. 7s, 7s 6d to 10s each ; medium, 5s to 6s each ; young ducks, 6s to 7s per pair; old ducks, 4s to 5s per pair, geese, 2s 9d to 3s 6d each.
