PURCHASE OF GREENLAND.
AMERICAN PROPOSAL. Received April 19, 10.‘5 a..m. WASHINGTON, April IS. In the House of Representatives Mr Hamilton Fish to-day introduced a resolution authorising the President to purchase Greenland at an estimated price of 40 million dollars. He explained that “the United States should adopt a policy of purchasing or acquiring as an offset to debts all foreign non-Canadian possessions within 1500 miles of the coast.”
