RANGITIKEI.
MARTON, April 16. At a meeting of the Marion Boxing Association, Mr C. (Stafford presided. It was decided, after a lengthy discussion, to go into recess indefinitely, but the association is to be kept alive by the payment of the annual subscription to the New Zealand Boxing Association. Members felt that owing to the war and petrol restrictions it would be almost impracticable to hold any tournament this year. Representations are to be made to the Boxing Association to waive the annual subscription so long as the club remains inoperative during the period of the war. Messrs E. C. Haddock and A. Barr were appointed trustees. Appreciation of the services of the secretary (Mr R. L. Gill), president (Mr C. Stafford), treasurer (Mr A. D. Barr) and the match committee were recorded. * RIFLE CLUB.
