MISS N. SMILLIE’S ROUND OF *79. A competitor at the recent New Zealand autumn foursomes tourney at Maungakiekie who impressed by her play was Miss N. Smillie, of Palmerston North, says the Auckland Star. According to E. J. Moss, the One Tree Hill professional, she was the best shot-maker at the tournament, and has fine range from the tee. On Monday Miss Smillie visited Middlemore, a course on which she had not previously played, and had a round of 79. Tho scratch score is 72 and as' Mies Smillie plays off 7 she played to her handicap. She was out in 40 and home in 39, including a 6 at the fifteenth and a 7 at the seventeenth.
