PROPAGANDA TRICKS.
METHODS OF THE NAZIS. LONDON, March IG. Some of the methods used by the Nazis to get their propaganda into •England were revealed this week. Casks of “butter” coming from Eire have been found crammed with German propaganda leaflets. Shippers in Dublin and Cork have been the dupes of German agents. German leaflet* have also been found in cargoes of this kind from Holland. Nazi agents in neutral countries also dodge the postal censorship by sending propaganda through the post in .small quantities with “disguise ’ wrappers. A number of well-known people in England have received from Holland copies of an excellently-printed book entitled “The Heroic Battle of the Poles.” The sub-title is “Poland’s Fight for Civilisation and Democracy,” and it is apparently published by a French democratic organisation. After scanning two or three pages of the book one discovers that it is Nazi propaganda of a revolting kind directed against and not in favour of the Poles.
