(From Our Own Correspondent.; OTAKI, April 17. Fred Davies, son of the late Mr Davies, formerly town clerk, of Otaki, and the late Mrs Davies, is at present a member of (lie crew of 11.M.5. Achilles, and went through the bailie with the German liatllosliip Graf Spec, lie resided in Otaki-for some years and attended the local school. The following nominations have been received for, the Otaki School Committee (nine candidates required): Rev. Tpmiiera, Dr. Francis, Mrs Wellington. Messrs H. B. Fdhoiise, 11, Taylor, if. Nieolson, L. O. Gimblelt, G. Moliall (sitting members), A. Lumlcy, W. Nugent, W. Henwood, W. Wilson and S. S. Smith. A bowling match for the Webster rose bowl will be played on Saturday between Otaki Railway and Levin Clubs. The Country pennant matches have resulted in a tic between the Otaki and Otaki Railwuy Lluu».
