TAONUI SCHOOL. Arrangements for the remodelling of the school building at Taonui _ were authorised at a meeting of the Wanganui Education Board yesterday. Cricket. A team of Feilding cricketers played a match at Rangiwahia' at the weekend. In their first strike the visitors scored 57 and in their second 134. Rangiwahia replied with 112 and 70, Feilding thus winning by 9 runs. Lengthy Service. Mr G. J. Fitzpatrick, who has been chairman of the Manchester Street School Committee for IS years and a member of the School Committee for 30 years, is, as stated on Tuesday, not seeking re-election. His record is a splendid one and during his association with the school he has seen many changes take place. His interest has been a conscientious one devoted to tlie welfare of the children in particular. Mr Fitzpatrick was one of the principal organisers of the recent excursion to the Centennial Exhibition.
