SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITY.

STRONG MEASURES URGED. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 17. A resolution urging the Government to dismiss any servants whose go-slow policy or Communistic or subversive tactics were against the country s war effort was carried unanimously at the annual meeting of the Territorial Association of Otago to-day. The meeting was assured by the Minister of Defence (Hon. E. Jones), who was present, that the Government was not going to allow anyone to sabotage the war effort, but at the same time lie said the Allies were, fighting for freedom and the right oi the people to express their opinions. He said that- they must respect those opinions, provided thev did not act detrimentally to the Dominion s war effort.
