PRESBYTERIAN GUILD.

The monthly meeting of St. David’s Presbyterian Church Ladies’ Guild took the form of a social in honour of Miss Cairns, an enthusiastic guild worker, who is shortly to be married. The president (Mrs J. M. Graham) asked Miss Cairns to accept from members and a few friends a beautiful crystal salad bowl. The president also extended best wishes for the recipient’s happiness. Miss Kirkpatrick presented Miss Cairns with a dainty spray. Miss Cairns returned thanks for the gifts and good wishes expressed. Vocal solos by Mrs Wright and elocutionary items by Miss Edna

Williams entertained those present, tlie accompaniments being played by Mrs J. McPeak. Winners of competitions were Mrs Hume and Miss Kirkpatrick. Mrs Graham thanked members for their attendance and Mri Nicholas for the use of the manse.
