NORTH OTAGO TRAGEDIES
SIM ILAR Cl RCUMSTANCES. Per Press Association. OAMARU, April 16. Two similar fatalities occurred in North Otago yesterday. Mr Andrew Gray, aged 69, a farmer of Papakaio, was found dead in an implement shed on his farm with a double-barrelled gun alongside. Mr James Fisher, aged 67, single, residing in a hut at Kurow, was found dead with a pea-rifle beside liis body. WELLINGTON CASE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 10. A finding that Ethel Mary Cross, married woman, aged 48, died from injuries received through throwing herself from a roof while her mind was temporarily deranged was returned by the Coroner to-day. Mrs Cross was seen failing from the roof of Janies Smith’s building on April 5. She had been employed there in a pantry.
