MANAWATU V. WANGANUI. On Saturday, at the Northern Club’s lawns, a match was played between the Manawatu Croquet, Association and the Wanganui Association, victory going to the visitors. Results were (Wanganui players mentioned first): Singles.—McClymont beat Mrs Petrie, 26—15; Jarvic beat Mrs Brown _ 26—9; Ogier boat Mrs Mood, 26 —6; Mrs Brass beat Mrs Nicholson, 26 —13; Harrison beat Mrs McMurray, 26—18; Mrs Bassett beat Mrs Bryant, 26—17. Doubles. —Harrison and Mrs Bassett beat Mesdames McMurray and Bryant, 26 —21; Jarvie and McClymont beat Mesdames Brown and Wood. 26 —24; Mrs Brass and Ogier lost to Mesdames Petrio and Nicholson, 7—20. Totals.—Wanganui, 215 points; Manawatu. 149. In the afternoon the Wanganui players were the guests of the Manawatu Croquet Club for other games.
