BOWLING.

A AVoodville rink —Bibby, AlcCullough, McKinlay. Horne (skip)—visited Dannevirke on Saturday and in a match for the Gosling Stars beat the holders—Potts, Hudson, Bibby, Williams (skip). There was a large number of spectators. AVoodville maintained the lead right up to the 21st head, where they were three up on the holdore. Dannevirke made a determined effort to even the scores and succeeded in doing so. An extra head was necessary to decide the match and the challengers won. The bowling was of a very high standard throughout, and AVoodville’s win bv 18 points to 17 was thoroughly deserved. A match for the Bolton Cup. played on the AVoodville green on Monday, resulted in McKinlay beating Spackman bv 26 points to 4.
