CENTRAL DISTRICT RESPONSE. AVELLINGTON, April 16. Up to the end of last week, enlistments in tlie Central Military District totalled 11,440, of whom 8041 have been passed fit and 4996 have been sent to camp. At the end of the week there were 625 recruits temporarily unfit and .1411 permanently unfit. Details for the four areas iu the district are as follow (No. 5 Area, Yvellingtpn and Hutt A 7 alley; No. 6. AA’an-ganui-Palmerston North ; No. 7, Hawke’s Bay-Gisborno-AA’airarapa ; No. 8, Taranaki) :
