GUN CLUB SHOOT.
The Palmerston North Gun Club held a clay bird shoot on Saturday. Results arc :—• Trophy shoot (10 bird match).—W. A. Thomson, T. Hayward, E. Sutherland and E. Seivert tied with 8 birds apiece. In the shoot-off Haywai'd won with Seivert runner-up. Cup (10 bird match). —-W. A. Thomson, E. de Tourret. F. Seivert, R. de Tourret and L. J. Thomson, each broke 7 birds, later dividing the sweepstake. First sweepstake.—Won outright: by N. D. Stubbs, who broke nine of -ten birds. L. J. Thomson, W. A. Thomson, Mrs de Tourret and E. Sutherland divided second money. Straight-line sweepstake.—R. Tng-les-Jones, J. T. Horne, N. D. Stubbs. L J. Thomson and I’. Hayward’tied with seven breaks each and in the shoot-off L. J. Thomson won.
