CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.

“Arc Sin. Disease and Death Real?” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The Golden Text was Isa. 33:22: “The Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save ns.” Among the citations which comprised the LessonSermon were the following from the Bible: “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath committed sins they shall be forgiven him. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (Jas. 5: 15. 16.) Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook. “Science and Health with Kev to the Scriptures,” by Alary Baker Eddy: “Christian Science reveals God, not as the author of sin, sickness, and death, hut as divine Principle, Supreme Being, Mind, exempt from all evil. God is not the author of mortal discords. Therefore we accept the conclusion that discords have only a fabulous existence, are mortal beliefs which divine Truth and Love destroy.” (pp. 127, 231.)
