SHOT ACROSS BOWS.
LAUNCH AT AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 15. A shot was fired across the bows of a launch entering tho harbour early this morning by one of the coastal defence batteries. It is understood that the launch had passed the examination area without reporting to the patrol ship, and also that after the shot was fired the anchor was immediately dropped and the launch awaited instructions. No official information is yet available.
