LICENSING COMMITTEE.

FURTHER ADJOURNMENT. At a meeting of tho Palmerston North Licensing Committee, yesterday, consideration was given to the adjourned application of E. F. de Tourist, licensee of the Midland Hotel, for a permanent transfer of the license from A. Tuart. Mr H. P. Lawrv, S.M., presided, also present being Messrs J. Hodgcns, M.P., M. A. Eliott, A. J. Graham, ,D. J. Lovelock. Inspector H. Scott represented the police. Mr G. Crosslcy (who appeared for applicant) stated that negotiations for the purchase of the license were in progress and it was expected that the agreement would shortly be completed. An adjournment was made until April. 29.
