BOWLING.

R.S.A. MEMBERS AT PLAY. Bowling teams representing the Woodville It.S.A. visited Palmerston North on Sunday to play the city R.S.A. for the Brooker Shield and were successful in winning the trophy for the first time for several years. An interesting series of games saw each side emerge with six wins and two drawn games, but Woodvillc were 21 points up on the aggregate, scoring 165 points to Palmerston North’s 144. The visitors, who were hospitably entertained by the city association, were welcomed by Mr H. Johnston. Mr G. Wickcs, president of tho Woodville R.S.A., returned thanks. Hares 18; Norman 17 v. Gothard 6; Croucher 10 v. Galbraith 8; Claughton 13 v. Little 20. Second round: Croucher 12 v. Hurley 12; McEwen 14 v. Little 12; Johnston 10 v. Boyd 7; Bee 4 v. Gothard 14; Claughton 9 v. Young 9; Child 11 v. Hares 12; Seator 11 v. Galbraith 12. At the conclusion of the match, Mr Child, on behalf of tho Palmerston North R.S.A., handed over tho shield to the Woodville players, whom he congratulated on their win.
