Rev. C. S. L. ] Oliver and Mrs Oliver have left, Mr. , Oliver having been appointed to the Ale- < tbodist Church at Otautau. South Island, j Aliss J. AI. Urquhart, of CManc, who lias been appointed to the position ot dental nurse at tlic local Dental Clinic, has arriy- - ed in Foxton. Alarjorie Pod more, a pupil of tlio secondary department of the District High School, who was credited with < passing tlio school certificate examination, i hag received notification that she has now i passed tlio University entrance cxamina- < h °At the annual meeting of the Herrington Ladies’ Golf Club the election of officers resulted: Captain. Miss Ncylon; vicc-cap-tain, Airs R. Robinson; secretary, Mrs R. O. Hornblow; committee, Alesdames R. Robinson, AI. B. Bergin and S. IS. Crawford; handicap manager, Aliss G. Ncylon. At the annual meeting of the l'oxfon branch of the Labour Party, the following resolution was carried unanimously: “To the Prime Alinister: Tho Foxton branch wish to assure you of our wholehearted < lovaltv and co-operation in your new office ] as" leader and Prime Alinister, and that we i have every confidence in your Cabinet to • carry out Labour’s ideals.
