REMARKABLE RESILIENCE.
BRITISH FINANCE MARKETS. LONDON, April 12. The stock markets have displayed remarkable resistance to the latest turn of hostilities. The money and discount markets are almost completely indifferent and tlie Stock Exchange lias remained calmly confident. •The varying news has admittedly affected prices, but there is no evidence of pressure to sell and much of the earlier decline has been recovered. The free commodity markets have reacted to the extension of hostilities with a firmer tone and higher prices.
