AIRMAN FROM WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 1L Cabled advice was received on Saturday hv Mr and Mrs S. D. Rankin, of Malcolm Avenue, that their soil, Pilot-Officer David Alexander Rankin, is reported missing alter having taken part in air operations with the R.A.b. Pi lot-0 Ifieer Rankin joined the Air Force in 193" and after two months at Rongotni went- through an extensive period of training at Christchurch. He left for England in February, 1939, being in charge of a party of 38. It was his intention to have six years’ service with the R.A.F. He took a lively part in the recreational side of Air Force life, and was attached to the 115th Squadron.
