At' a meeting of the business men of Otaki it was decided to form an association to be known as the Otaki Commercial Association, the objects being to promote the interests of the business community, to protect their rights, to secure co-ordination of decisions on official or public requirements, and generally to ensure co-operative action on matters affecting its members in relation to lhe public, loral authorities, or the Government, Air Mcßctli was elected chairman, Air Avery secretary, and Mr Nicolson auditor.
