(From Our Own Orro«nondont.) OTAKL April 12. At a mooting of I ho Otaki Borough Council it was stated that an improvement is to be made to some of the mam roads, and attention given to lie improvemen of the plot at To Ranparaha s monument It was agreed lo procure a set of model u.vlows Tt being stated that the present bylaws’ were out of date. The Otnki Stale School Committee wrote suggesting that a warning device, in case of anyone in dimcilltios at the' beach, be erected.—The matter was left in the hands of the works committee. The matter of arranging Anzac Day servieos was referred to the R.S.A. At' a meeting of the business men of Otaki it was decided to form an association to be known as the Otaki Commercial Association, the objects being to promote the interests of the business community, to protect their rights, to secure co-ordination of decisions on official or public requirements, and generally to ensure co-operative action on matters affecting its members in relation to lhe public, loral authorities, or the Government, Air Mcßctli was elected chairman, Air Avery secretary, and Mr Nicolson auditor.
