April 11. j Regarding the effect on the enomv ! oil position' of ihe German occupation j of Denmark, the Petroleum Information Bureau states that Denmark imported in 1939 about 700 000 tons 1 of oil. The German invasion brings ( Denmark within the scope of the ( Allied blockade, with a consequent s stopnage of oil imports. When existing Danish oil stocks are consumed the German oil position, already difficult, will become worse, since appreciable quantities of oil will still be required for normal domestic purposes in Denmark.
