MART REPORT.

The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Lid., Palmerston North, report receiving a capacity yarding of pigs at. their sale held on Thursday, even the pens being utilised. Porkers and baconors maintained late rates, but there was a considerable drop in the price of stores and weaners. Poultry also were in large supply, and in ali cases prices showed a slight, increase. The special entry of 70 pullets realised from 9s 6d to 11s each. Vegetables were in largo supply, there being a keen demand for cauliflowers. They quote as follow: — „ Pigs. —Best weaners, 10s lo 12s: small to backward, 6s lo 9s: light, stores, 14s lo 19s; heavv, 25s to 355; light porkers, 35s to 395; heavy porkers, £2 to £2 6s; baconors, to £3 ss. Poultry.—Best forward pullets, 9s 6d to 11s each; medium, 7s to 8s 6d each: young ducks, 7s to 8s 6d per pair; old ducks, 5s to 6s per pair: best W.L. hens 4s to. 5s per pair; heavy lions, 6s (o 8s per paii*: prime cockerels, 8s 1.0 9s. per pair: medium, 6s to 7s per pair; light, 4s to 5s per pair. Produce. —Tomatoes, 3s to 5s 6d per case; peaches, 6s to 8s: quinces. 4s lo 7s: cauliflowers. 10s lo 13s 6d; cabbages (Savoy), 6s lo 10s; drumhead, 3s (o 6s: celery, 6s lo 10s per case: lettuce, 2s to 6*; cucumbers. 3s to 7s 6d: peas. 2d to 4d per lh; beans. Id to 6icl per lb: kmneras, 10s to 12s per sugar bag: rhubarb, 2s to 4s per do/..; spinach, 3s to 6s per case: carrots, 2s to 2s 6d: swedes. 3s to 4s per hag; parsnips, 3s to 4s 6d; silver beet, Is 6d to 2s 6d per case; polatoos, 4s 6d to 5s 6d per cwt: onions, 8s to 10s per bag.
