ATHLETIC CLUB DANCE.
As a finale to a -most successful season, the Palmerston North Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club held a dance in the Cosmopolitan Hall, on j Wednesday, when the trophies won during the season were presented by the deputy-Mayor (Cr G. Tremaine). Mr Tremaine congratulated the club on its. efforts in promoting amateur athletics in Palmerston North, and stated that some years ago such meetings were always well attended, but interest had waned in such sport. Exhibition Highland dances were presented by Fay Rees and Joy Burrell, and a tap dance ny Joy Burrell. Tlie hostesses were Mesdames Heb- I berly. Little and Vowles and the M.C. g was Mr E .Pillinger. I
