(From Our Own Correspondent.) A . LINTON, April 10. Jhe April meeting of the Women’s List U A,"'- as the birthday of the institute. Mrs Algie presided. The points prize for ■ last year was won by Airs A. Currin, who I received a book, “Pioneer Women of New Zealand.’’ Afternoon tea was served by Alesdames Harrison, Swenson and Currin, I after which Mrs J. Balchclar was called on jto cut the birthday cake, which was very kindly donated by Airs Alullins. A mime was staged by Mcsdames J. L. Nash, T. Lynch, Waterson and Aliss Al. Gretton. Glee singing conducted by Mr L. Schwabe W's enjoyed. Mrs Batchelar led community singing. The prizes for the best bloom competition 'were won by Airs J. Lynch 1, Airs T. Lynch 2. Airs Heard 3. Mrs Moyes is visiting her daughter. Airs A. Terry, of Ngatea. Mrs Wilson is on holidny in New Plymouth with her son. Air G. Wilson. Airs T. Lynch is visiting Wellington, where she will me.ct her sister, Airs Hunter, from Auckland.
