GERMANS AT NARVIK.

FORCE OF 2000. LONDON, April 10. The Times Stockholm correspondent savs German soldiers told the people of'Narvik that- they had been on the way there for two to three days. The German force at Narvik is estimated at more than two thousand. A Swedish fishing cutter was lost with a crew of six in a German minefield. . , . . Special Swedish defence taxes have increased the "yield to £37.000,000. DANISH CASUALTIES. The British United Press Copenhagen correspondent says tho Germans have reached Copenhagen and all other Danish strategic points with a minimum of bloodshed. The invaders claim that only twelve persons were killed, but reports circulating in Copenhagen estimate the Danish casualties at several hundred killed, wounded and taken prisoner. The Danish forces at Jutland and at the airport near Copenhagen made a show of resistance. Two Danish pilots went up to oppose the Germans but were shot down. The reactions of the Low Countries include the closing of vital Dutch bridges and roads. There is no leave for the Belgian Army. The Belgian Ministry of National Defence denies any question of general mobilisation. It is reported from Luxembourg that the Germans continue" to lmikl embarkation quays along tho Moselle.
