NAZI RADIO RUSE.

FALSE REPORTS ISSUED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 10. The device used by the Germans in the course of the invasion of Norway of broadcasting in Norwegian on the Norwegian radio an appeal from the German-controlled puppet Government in Oslo calling on the Norwegian people to abandon resistance and issuing allegations about the resignation and flight of the true Government of Norway recalls a somewhat similar trick employed by the Nazis during the invasion of Poland. On September 8 German agents succeeding in sabotaging the Warsaw radio station while the town was still in Polish hands. The Germans then immediately began broadcasting in the Polish language from a radio station in the occupied city of Katowice, using the Warsaw wavelength. In this way they succeeded in giving an air of probability to a false announcement that Warsaw had already fallen. In view of the probability of tricks of this kind being repeated, the utmost caution is desirable in estimating the genuincss of dramatic announcements on the radio, which may emanate from German sources.
