INDUSTRIAL HEALTH.
LONDON. April 9. “Man must rest even at work,” says a report of the Industrial Health Research Board published as a Government Paper. It adds that too long hours of continuous work without rest intervals should be avoided. Measures should be taken to alleviate boredom and provide distractions, music being specially favoured. An unbroken shift of 4} hours was considered too long. tt’he report stated that organised rest spells were more effective and more beneficial to health than standeasy periods.
