INTER-DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP FIRST PAYMENT MADE. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 31. Tho first payment of £ls for tho interDominion trotting championship closed today, and at tho New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s office 37 acceptances wero received. These represent all the horses nominated in New Zealand with tho exception of Bill B. and Guy Junior and, as acceptances for Australian horses were to be taken in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, and Launceston, the strength of the field will not be known for at least two days.
