JAPANESE ATTITUDE. TOKIO. Jan. 29. Questioned in tlie Diet, .Mr K. Hirota (Minister of Foreign Affairs) said: “If Marshal Chians? Kai-shek compels us, we will take adequate steps in South China in accordance with the exigencies of the situation. In such a case Hong Kong, being British territory, ought to maintain perfect neutrality.”
