SHIP PURSUED.
REFUGE AT MACAO. Received January 31. 8.5 a.m. CANTON. Jan. 30. The Chinese-owned British-registered steamer Woh-Ping Yat took refuge at Macao to escape a pursuing Japanese warship. The British steamer Silkwortli. when 24 hours out from Hong Kong, was forced to return, it is reported, because of a threatened mutiny by the Japanese crew against the British officers. The authorities are investigating.
