ROWING.

SYDNEY, Jan. 31. The New South Wales rowing championships were held on the Nepean River course on Saturday. The eights race resulted in a win for North Shore from Pittwater, with Sydney third. Pearce retained the heavyweight scullinn title, beating Stevenson by a quarter of a mile. Hoskins won the lightweight championship sculls for the fourth time. Haberfield won the lightweight champion fours from North Shore and Sydney. Denison and Macey (New Zealand) survived the fourth round of the pairs, winning 20—15, but were beaten in the quarter, finals 16—15.
