BRITISH BY-ELECTION.
THE FARNWORTH SEAT
LONDON, Jan. 27
The Earn worth by-election, held as a result of the death of tho Labour member, Mr Guy Rowson, resulted in the return of Mr G. Tomlinson (Labour), with 24,298 votes. Mr H. F. Ryan (Conservative) polled 16,835 votes.
At the general election the voting was: Guy Rowson (Labour). 22,040; E G. Unswortli (Conservative), 16.839; J- M. Erskine (Independent), 3763.
