HONOUR CONFERRED.
RESIDENT OF DUNEDIN. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Jan. 28. Information has been received that His Majesty, as the head of the Venerable Order of St. John of Jerusalem, has conferred on Mr S. Sa.ltzman, of Dunedin, the Grade of Donat (gold badge). Mr Saltzman is a well-known benefactor and recently made a gift to the city of a fine building to house the local ambulance association. This distinction in the order is rare.
