BEAUTY HINT.

Superfluous hair.—Bleaching is a very good way to tackle the problem of superfluous hair, especially a growth of fine fuzz or down hair. Bleaching makes the hair less visible, so it is a comfort to brunettes, especially. Peroxide is' the mild bleach most frequently recommended for this purpose. By adding ammonia to the peroxide, the mixture bleaches more quickly and dries the hair, too.. Sometimes bleaching will weaken fine hairs so that they become brittle and break off. Two or three parts of peroxide to one of ordinary ammonia is the usual mixture. If this stings too much, or dries the skin, add more peroxide.
