MARKET REPORT.

PIGS, POULTRY AND PRODUCE. The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Palmerston North, report conducting their visual weekly market on Thursday to a large attendance of buyers. A good entry of pigs came forward, prices snowing an improvement on last week’s rates, good weaners realising up to 16s each and slips to 18s. A very large entry of poultry was yarded, there being a small improvement in prices. We quote as follows: — Poultry.—Best W.L. lions, from 3.5 6d to 4s 6d per pair; light hens, from 3s to 4s per pair; heavy hens, from 4s 6d to 5s per puir; heavy cockerels, from 5s to 6s 6d per pair; smaller cockerels, from Is to 4s per pair; W.L. pullets, from 4s to 6s each; 15.0. pullets, from 4s to 6s. each; young ducks, from 4s to 6s per pair; old ducks, from 3s to 4s per pair; young geese, 3s each.

Pigs.—Small weaners, from 10s to lls each; best weaners, up to 16s; slips, up to 18s; stores, from 20s to 245; light porkers, to 335.
