ENTHUSIASM IN CITY.
PAGEANT TO BE REPEATED. AUSTRALIAN CELEBRATIONS. Received January 27, 11.50 a.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 27. The police estimate that more than 1,000,000 people are gathered in the city. So enthusiastically was the pageant received that it has been decided to repeat it and a street procession, including new floats contributed by the commercial world of Sydney, will be held on April 9. The landing pageant at Farm Cove will be repeated in about a fortnight. The New Zealand float won the first prize in the historical section of yesterday’s procession.
