BRITAIN NOT COMMITTED.
ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSALS. (British Official Wireless.) Received January 28, 12.10 p.m. RUGBY, Jan. 27. M. Van Zeeland’s report on his inquiry into the possibility of obtaining a general reduction in obstacles to international trade has been received by the British Government and is being released for publication to-mor-row. When M. Van Zeeland visited Britain some months ago it was made clear that his discussions with the British Government were for the purpose of assisting him in the completion of his report and were not of a' character to commit the United Kingdom Government to the acceptance of any proposals,' which it might contain.
