RUBBER SHARES RISE.

LONDON, Jan. 25. Rubber rose sharply as a result of the International Committee’s decision to impose a quota of 60 per cent. The shares of the leading companies were also marked un; otherwise the markets remain abnormally quiet, except for gilt-edged securities, which continue to improve.
