BOOKED OUT

BEST SEATS FOR FIFTH TEST. LONDON, Jan. 11. The Star discloses that all the best seats for the fifth cricket Test between England and Australia, to be played at the Oval on August 20, have been sold, and others are selling rapidly. A big batch of tickets has been mailed to Australia.

The secretary of the Surrey County Cricket Club says that he will probably have to turn away about £SOOO, which the poorer clubs would welcome. “Australian barracking is first-rate, although one sometimes learns from the crowd that while one’s ancestry may be doubtful, one’s ultimate destination is fatal,” said H. Verity, the Test cricketer. Ho considers that Australian wickets are unequalled anywhere.
