THE BATTLE AT TERUEL.

Received January 26. 11.45 a.m. BARCELONA, Jan. 25. At least 20 persons were killed in this morning’s air raid. The Government spokesman stated that they were prepared to evacuate Teruel, which was of no military value. The Government had attained its objective, which was to prevent General Franco’s long-heralded offensive by embroiling him in a costly battle. He added that General Franco had swallowed the bait, which had set him back six months.
