There was again a large crowd of visitors to the beach yesterday, and included was a large picnic party from the Palmerston North P O6 l and Telegraph Department. With tho hundrods of cars going to and fro this last month there has been no record of a single accident. There have been one or two minor mishaps among tho campers.
The monthly meeting of tho Tangimoana Improvement Society was presided over by Mr J. C. Johnson, and others present were Messrs J. Stuart, V. C. Martin, K. Clare and tho secretary. Mr Martin reported that all the functions held during the holiday season wero a financial success and had provided entertainment for hundreds of visitors. Preliminary consideration was given to tho extension of tho hall to provide stage accommodation. Tho monster danco held on Anniversary Night under the auspices o ftho Improvement Society was well attended.
