The recent disturbance is now passing away eastward, and though still rather low to the north-east, pressure has risen considerably over the Dominion with the advance of an anticyclone across the Tasman Sea. Forecast.—Moderate to strong but decreasing southerly to south-easterly winds. Weather: Fair to fine with cool, but rising, temperatures. Seas, moderate to rather rough, but decreasing. RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —6ft. Gin. 1 p.m.—6ft. 3in.
