WELLINGTON.MARKET PRICES. Prices of fruit, vegetables, and other produce in the Wellington markets ■ this week are quoted as follow: Apples.—Gravenstein, 4s to 83 bushelj Red. Astrakhan, 4s to 7s; cooking, 3s 6cl to Ss. Pears: Jargonal, 3s 6d to 4s halfcase; W.8.C., 3s 6d to 4s 6d. Raspberries, 63 to 9s tin; black currants, 7s to 10s 3d half-case; apricots, 3s to 9s 6d ; nectarines, 5s to 6s; greengages, 8s to 12s 6d ; plums, dessert, 4s to 6s; cooking, 2s 6d to 4s; peaches, dessert, 4s to 6s 6d ; cooking, 2s 6d to 3s 6d. Lemons, 6s to 18s 3d bushel; giapes, local hothouse. Is to Is 3d pound. Tomatoes, local hothouse, 3d to 4d pound; Nelson, ripe, 6s to 8s 3d case; coloured, 4s to 7s case : beans, Is 6d to 8s case; cucumbers, outside, 2s 6d to 4s banana base. Potatoes, 7s to 10s sack; onions. 4s to 5s sugar bag; peas, 3s to 19s sack; pumpkins, 8s to 10s sack ;', cabbage, 3s to 5s lOd case; lettuce, 3s to 9s case; spinach, 3s to 8s case. AUCKLAND MARKETS. AUCKLAND. Jan. 25. The potato market is still supplied from V?ukekohe at £9 a ton on rail and 5s 6d a sugar bag through store. Canadian onions aro selling at 11s 6d a bag. ■ • , .... There has been a further increase in the price of Australian pollard, which is now quoted at £9 10s to £9 15s a ton through store. Chaff is easier at £lO !5s a ton, but merchants are not keen jto buy at present. Maize is scarce and dear at 6s 6d to 6s 7d a bushel.
