FEILDING SHOW.
Entries for the Fcilding Show havo now clcsed and from the information to hand it is estimated that tho entries in most sections will bo up to the usual strength. Shoep will be a very strong section, particularly the purebred Romneys and Southdowns, and the . new natural condition Romney section has also filled very well and should provide keen competition. Fat "sheep and lambs are not quite up to last year’s figures, but this is to be expected in view of the dry season. In the pig entries all breeds are well represented. In the cattlo sections most breeds are represented, but in some of the classes the support is somewhat poor. Tho horses and competitions and pony classes filled reasonable well, and somo fine jumping should bo witnessed. A specialty this year will bo tho trotting races to he held at 2.50 and 3.30 p.m. on People’s Day (Wednesday), when somo star performers-will show their paces. Tho homo industry classes and tho Women’s Institute exhibition should appeal to the ladies, and somo very beautiful work will bo on view. The usual sideshows, merry-go-rounds. etc., will be on tho showgrounds, including many novelty shows.
