KITCHEN TEA.

miss d. McMillan. An enjoyable surprise party was held recently at the home of Mr and Mrs Troy, of Tokomaru, in honour of Miss D. McMillan, whose marriage to Mr R. Vining is to take place shortly. Mrs Troy received her guests wearing a smart frock of blue figured marocain, and the guest of honour was in navy figured ninon. The time was spent with games and dancing, and after a savoury supper had been served' Miss McMillan was called upon to open the numerous parcels which had been brought along for her kitchen. Musical honours were accorded Miss Me-! Millan and Mr Vining. Among those* present were: Mesdames Mumi'ord, Carr, Alltree, Free, and Love, Misses Olsen, Duncalf, Stout, Norris and Murphy, and Messrs Mumford, Carr, Alltree, Love, Free, W. Heifer, P.
